Honeywell's MK-3580 Quantum-T is a high efficient omni-directional bar code scanner with laser diode. Targets of it`s use are e.g. in office for bar code scanning from documents or point of sale (P.O.S.) application in market place as well. With it's features the unit is successor of the Honeywell MK-7120 Orbit. In comparision with it's ancestor it is smaller, more modern, more efficient, more flexible and ... for the same price!! Version "T" of Quantum scanner has adjustable stand and touch sensor for activation from standby mode in contrary to Quantum-E OEM engine.
- an automatic activation of laser beam with the IR sensor (Honeywell's patent);
- a touch sensor for activation from standby mode;
- OPOS and JPOS standards compatible;
- operates in frost down to -20°C;
- can be switched into a single-line scanning mode anytime;
- multininterface, change between a keyboard-wedge / a RS232 / a IBM / a USB automatic is done easily by simply changing the cable and setting the unit;
- a lower price and an almost two times longer depth of scanning field than Metrologic Orbit (which is used for the same target applications);
