Honeywell's MK-3480 Quantum-E is a high efficient omni-directional bar code scanner, well mountable into different kiosk machines or may be fastened direct onto wall.
With it's features the unit is successor of the Metrologic IS-6520 Cubit. In comparision with it's ancestor it is smaller, more modern, more efficient, more flexible and ... for the same price! The target of Honeywell MK-3480 are different automats (for parking, bank ATM's, production belts) or as OEM scanner inbuilt into retail presentation scanning applications like price-checkers etc.
- automatic activation of laser beam with an IR sensor (Honeywell's patent);
- operates in frost down to -20°C;
- can be switched into a single-line scanning mode at anytime;
- multininterface, change between a keyboard-wedge / a RS232 / an IBM / a USB automatic is done simply by changing the cable and configuring the unit;
- lower price and almost two times longer depth of scanning field than Honeywell Cubit (used for the same target applications);
