The UHF reader Kathrein RRU-1400 is a basic RAIN RFID reader for indoor applications in logistics, manufacturing, supply chain and access control applications.

The mid-range antenna (MIRA) was developed for applications in range between the near and far field. The focus of the compact design was for integration in space-critical applications. Reading distances of up to 5 m are still possible with dimensions of 143.8 x 156 mm. In this case, however, the reading range is very wide.

Kathrein Smart shelf (SMSH) antennas are available for applications in the read range up to 3 meters. The SMSH antennas offer a very selective reading zone, especially when used in shelves or when a flat installation space is needed. This model is cascadable, with KRAI interface.
Kathrein Tag Blower: license for one RFID reader
The TagBlower software application significantly reduces network traffic between the Kathrein RFID reader and the central enterprise system. The reader does not send all RFID tags in range to the system (hundreds of codes per second!), but only changes in their visibility. At the same time, each data sent can contain a pre-set message (e.g. Tag has appeared / It is getting closer / The tag is moving away).
